WELCOME:
Training for Chiropractor-Academics
This is the home of structured training on how to become an effective Chiropractor-Academic in any program of Chiropractic education.
This learning is designed to help you become a more empowering educator in your chosen discipline of Chiropractic, in any institution. We will transition you to become a Chiropractor-Academic, an academic who is a Chiropractor first and a capable academic second. We will give you the confidence and skills to step into any Chiropractic Classroom and be a leader of learning for our profession's next generation.
There is a specific focus on developing the capabilities to be a Learning Leader within the Transnational Chiropractic Curriculum, the 6-year curriculum which is rolling out across Asia, India, and Africa. There is a need for academics in these countries and with this training you could decide in which country you wish to make your new home.
This Website is the only place in the world where you can learn to become a Chiropractor-Academic, so naturally you need to hold a recognised qualification in Chiropractic and be held in good standing by your peers before you continue.
Knowledge development is synonymous with the ongoing tasks of educators ‘to develop, conserve and impart understanding and develop capability’
About this training
The Chiropractor-Academic training program is based on earning Digital Badges to build a Digital Certificate. You can apply for a Digital Certificate after you have completed the 5 related Digital Badges to signify your attainment in a series of microcredentials within each Badge.
A microcredential is a discreet packet of learning on a specific theme with usually 5 topics, the completion of which earns a Digital Badge.
You may complete as many Digital Badges as you like across all topics, but to earn a Certificate you must complete the 5 nominated Digital Badges of that Digital Certificate. Tap below to see the Program Map.
Within the university and higher education sector, the attainment of Badges and Certificates in one's fields of teaching and clinical supervision is helpful to support academic progression to a higher pay grade. They also mark you as an exceptional applicant for any new position.
Within the Transnational Curriculum the 'The Academic Mindset' Digital Certificate is preferred to be held by all applicants for an academic role within the delivery of the curriculum. As with most Digital Certificates, it requires completion of 5 Digital Badges.
This learning can be studied in the language of your choice, selected from the Dropdown menu at the top of each webpage, and you may submit your assessments in the language of your choice. Comprehension of English is required for some readings if you cannot electronically translate a PDF.

About the Digital Certificates
At this time there are four (4) Digital Certificates that can be earned, each with a volume of learning of about 300 university-hours.
A further four (4) certificates will be added towards the end of 2025. To take any of these you must be currently teaching within a Chiropractic program.
Each Digital Certificate consists of 5 Digital Badges as microcredentials with topics, the completion of each of these 5 microcredentials and receipt of their Digital Badges in the field of a Certificate is required to earn the Certificate.
Therefore the Digital Certificate is earned by the attainment of 5 related Digital Badges each with their formative assessment, and then submission of a summative assessment. Total certificate cost, including 5 badges, is therefore ~AUD$330.00, ¥33,000, ₱13,200, €210.00, USD$240.

About digital Badges
Each Badge is a microcredential gathering about 5 topics. Each topic contains reading and you can either make notes using your device's inbuilt function to highlight and mark-up key points, or do as we recommend and take a trip to a stationery store and buy yourself a really nice notepad and pen; keep these at your side to capture your divergent thoughts and interpretations as you read through the learning objects.
On successful completion, earning >50% for each topic's formative 'self assurance' work, you will earn a Digital Badge in the topic of that microcredential.
When all microcredentials in any one Certificate grouping are completed, you can complete the summative assessment to earn a Digital Certificate in the collected title of that grouping of microcredentials (Badges).
You should allow up to 75 hours to complete all 5 topics in one Badge. This is about 15 hours or 2 to 4 'days' per topic. You must read, think, search for supportive material, read that and assimilate, then determine how you relate with it. Each Badge has its formative assessment of its 5 topics which you submit to see how you are going and to earn part of your final grade.
In summary, read and think about the 5 topics in the drop-downs, then complete and submit the formative assessment for the Badge.
Repeat for each Badge.
